Kings Landing

Attention all builders; its been a LONG time since we last had a group build, but the time is finally here.  Our next build is Kings Landing and we will start at 4 pm Central US Standard Time.  We have a lot of new builders so you guys need to know to always follow the Maesters directions (trust us, we know what we are doing) and everything will be good.  Don’t forget to read the Kings Landing project topic, here

If you can’t make it at that time, don’t worry…I expect this massive project will take a month at the very least.

Hey guys! new map is transferred any everything looks great.  Expect us to start Kings Landing this weekend.  Stay posted for a time and date.

Also, Minecraft 1.3 comes out tomorrow.  We don’t plan on upgrading the server to 1.3 until all of our protection plugins are updated as well, so be sure to to deny the upgrade if you wanna play on our server.  Thanks!

Later tonight, the new map is going live. Just like last week, the server will be whitelisted until the majority of our builds are transferred over.  We expect this to take at least a couple of days, a week worst case scenario.  Big thanks to ALL involved in making the map, especially Tothas and thesn0wst0rm for doing a lot of the grunt work.

Map Update

Hey guys, detailing the map is taking a bit longer than expected.  We had to make the surface a lot more hilly and also added peaks to every mountain range.  Thanks to dotblank, we also found out how to add custom trees using the WorldPainter program, so all of Westeros will have completely custom trees over the whole continent.  It’s really going to look fabulous.  Expect the new map up sometime this weekend.

Good news and bad news

Well, bad news first.  After flying around the new map we noticed lots of details were missing, so after much debate we decided to go back and redo parts of the map.  On the plus side, this won’t take too long…a day or two at most.  Expect the new and improved map up later this week.  Until then, whitelist is off and anyone can visit the server.  Thanks for your patience!

Good news is, we are now offering art prints of our famous renders for sell.  You can get them at http://society6.com/WesterosCraft.  You can also find them on our homepage by clicking the ‘shop’ link.  They come in various sizes, and all are printed on high quality paper and shipped safely and securely.  Enjoy!

New map up tonight!

Hey guys, the new map is going up this evening.  During this time, the server will be whitelisted for everyone except the moderators and a select few others to transfer buildings between maps.  We ask everyone be patient, as it should only take a couple of days to transfer everything.  In the mean time, expect map downloads (Kings Landing, Winterfell, Harrenhal and Torrhens Square) posted sometime this evening or tomorrow.  Any questions, just ask!
